Charles E. Smith Jewish Day High School Graduate Rebecca Friedland Travels to Turkey

Rebecca Friedland, a senior at Colgate University, traveled to Turkey during Spring Break as part of an interfaith study group. Friedland, of Potomac, MD, is a graduate of Charles E. Smith Jewish Day High School.

The interfaith trip brought students from a wide spectrum of personal beliefs to immerse themselves in the culture and traditions of Turkey. Students spent a week learning outside the classroom, visiting holy sites and experiencing Turkish culture.
