Garnet Valley High School Graduate Preston Devens Conducts Undergraduate Research at Colgate University

Garnet Valley High School graduate Preston Devens, of Chadds Ford, PA, and a member of the Colgate Class of 2015, is one of about 150 Colgate University students conducting serious research on and off campus this summer as a paid research fellow.

Devens is conducting research in Identification of Specific Wnt Signals Involved in Zebrafish Retinal Regeneration, with the guidance of Biology Professor Jason Meyers.

Summer fellowships at Colgate allow students to work closely with faculty for eight to ten weeks on projects of common interest, and across disciplines, from biology and neuroscience to geology and sociology, to name a few.
