Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Graduate Lokelani Cummings-Watanabe Conducts Undergraduate Research at Colgate University

Kamehameha Schools Kapalama graduate Lokelani Cummings-Watanabe, of Aiea, HI, and a member of the Colgate Class of 2015, is one of about 150 Colgate University students conducting serious research on and off campus this summer as a paid research fellow.

Cummings-Watanabe is conducting research in Documentation Systems: Past Present and Future, with the guidance of Writing and Rhetoric Professor Meg Worley.

Summer fellowships at Colgate allow students to work closely with faculty for eight to ten weeks on projects of common interest, and across disciplines, from biology and neuroscience to geology and sociology, to name a few.
