Lewis Palmer High School Graduate Emily Butler Conducts Undergraduate Research at Colgate University

Lewis Palmer High School graduate Emily Butler, of Monument, CO, and a member of the Colgate Class of 2014, is one of about 150 Colgate University students conducting serious research on and off campus this summer as a paid research fellow.

Butler is conducting research in the Burial History of the Utica-Trenton Interval, with the guidance of Geology Professor Bruce Selleck.

Summer fellowships at Colgate allow students to work closely with faculty for eight to ten weeks on projects of common interest, and across disciplines, from biology and neuroscience to geology and sociology, to name a few.
