Lincoln High School Graduate Frances Kahan Travels to Israel

Frances Kahan, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2014, traveled to Israel in December as part of the extended study class. Kahan is a graduate of Lincoln High School in Stockton, CA.

Participants in The Land of Israel extended study visited historical and religious locations in Jerusalem, took part in an archaeological dig at Beit Guvrin, and stopped by the Dead Sea. Students also attended lectures and participated in class discussions while on their journey.

Colgate students enrolled in extended study take a regular course during the semester, and then travel with their classmates during the recess. Spring 2013 extended study courses include Argentina, Costa Rica, Greece, and Uganda. Past extended study groups have examined the role of non-governmental organizations in Bangladesh, comparative health systems in Beijing, and alternative energy in Norway.
